I have created this site many years ago with the name: “Back to Basics” at the time I hoped to blog about the basic necessities in life and using the many talents I have to teach others how to live comfortably on a very frugal budget. Nobel thoughts indeed, but God had another plan for me.
Things happened in my life I could not have dreamed up and now recovering from PTSD and GA I find myself immersed in the WORD, the more I read the more I want to know. Some might wonder why I would start an online bible-study with the Book of Revelation. To me this book summarizes the teachings of both the Old and the New Testament. It reminds us what will happen if we choose the broad path the world would like us to go and it promises the rewards we will get by following the narrow path to heaven. The book of Revelation tells us that those who hurt or harass us will suffer far more than we ever will. No matter how difficult our life is or possible could be there is always light at the end of the tunnel if you are saved by His Grace! That light is Jesus leading us into Heaven.
The seven letters in the Book of Revelation to various churches of that time let us know what Jesus expects of us, once we have accepted God’s Grace of Salvation and are ready to repent and follow Jesus and His teachings.
I don’t want to get to far into the study just yet, just one more thing;
This study is a personal study that I would like to share with my friends at Church who have been studying the Bible with me for the last two years and that is the only reason I am creating this blog.
My intend is not to teach the public at large, I am not a biblical scholar nor will I ever be one. I am just a Christian who seeks to understand and follow the WORD of the Lord!
I belong to a Lutheran Church of the Missouri Synod, and use the ESV study Bible.
